Pre Press Fabric:
Before starting the heat pressing process, lay your fabric on the bottom plate. You are going to prepare your fabric surface by removing wrinkles and pulling out moisture. Now pull down the handle and let the plate place on the fabric for around five seconds. Lift the plate and take out your fabric material to apply heat transfer vinyl.
Iron Your Fabric:
Lay your fabric on a flat surface and place the heat transfer vinyl where you want it to see. Make sure you have weeded off the excess HTV. When the heat press has reached the required temperature, place your fabric onto its bottom plate. You should do it carefully without touching the hot plate. If you are applying heat transfer vinyl on a shirt, keep the neck opening closest to you, so the bottom of your shirt is towards the heat press.
Use Pressing Pillows:
If possible, keep the seams of fabrics hanging over the edges of the bottom plate. Plats on a flat surface are tighter than fabric with many seams. If it is not possible, then use the pressing pillows to ensure the right pressure. These will prevent snaps, zippers, and seams from reducing heat press pressure.

Get, Set, Go:
Place the Teflon sheet over the heat transfer vinyl before pulling down the handle and top plate of the heat press.
Once you are ready, pull down the handle and lock the top plate. The countdown timer will start automatically, and you will hear a beep sound at the end of the time.
Now unlock the handle and lift the top plate of the heat press. You can pull out your fabric by removing the Teflon sheet. However, check the heat transfer manufacturer's direction before pulling the sheet off. Some HTV may require you to pull off the sheet when it cools down. After this step, you can remove the heat transfer vinyl backing with ease.
Your fabric is ready, but you can repress it with the heat press to illustrate the HTV further.
Bonus Tips Regarding Placing Heat Press:
You should find the perfect place for your heat press. In this regard, you must keep a few things in mind before finalizing any spot. Place it on a solid surface. Try to plug the heat press by using its outlet. Children should not be able to access it in any case. However, never put it too high that you cannot pull down its top plate. You should be able to access the heat press from three sides. There must be proper ventilation in the area because it will warm up the surrounding temperature.
